I am back from 10 days of vacation in sunny Florida. I felt completely relaxed and recharged. I didn’t have access to wifi during my trip, so I was only on my phone when I needed to be. The rest of the time I did tai chi, be a tourist, watched a lot of sunsets and rested.
Good thing I did all that because I came home to a sick child. David caught something on his German trip. He said his roommate was coughing the whole time. I got home on Thursday night and took David to the doctor’s on Friday morning. She said David has either a very nasty cold (there is one going around) or walking pneumonia. 🙁 She prescribed antibiotics (of course), it helped the cough a little but gave him vomiting and diarrhea. Oh, the poor boy is miserable and I am terrified of catching what he has but I still have to take care of him so I wear masks around the house. My next round of chemo is only two days away so I hope he turns the corner by then!
Meanwhile, I go about my days as normal as possible. Our tai chi group had a very nice holiday celebration potluck on Saturday. Another wonderful year is behind us. I so appreciate the friendship and support from this group. I look forward to practicing with everyone next year!
Best of the Season to you, Helena! May all go well.
I know I am not alone when I say we look forward to practicing with you too next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that…
Wishing you continued good health thru this holiday season & beyond, Helena…from your CDN friends, Faye/Randy
