I had my second immunotherapy treatment today. I have had quite a few recent decline since the first one three weeks ago. Even the oncologies have to admit those are not signs of things working out. They now put me on 2 kinds of pain killers around the clock. One for long term, one fast acting in case I need an extra dose. I don’t be able to drive anymore taking these and other side affects to deal with, but putting pain under control is #1.
They also sent me home with an oxygen tank. I do feel so much better with oxygen while I received treatment today. My lungs don’t have to struggle so hard.
The hardest part of dying is dying. When do we let go? How long does it take? My next scan is scheduled for 7/30. If we don’t see any signs of improvement which we don’t expect to, we will end the treatments. Then, I will start hospice care at home and at some point may need to move into a nursing home facility depends on how it goes. I am ready. So many friends are helping me get things done.
Thank you for all your prayers! Just a little longer!
