I signed up with hospice care officially yesterday. They are wonderful!! They provide everything I need for comfort. They will send someone to visit me once a week, more when it’s needed. The nurse will check my vital signs and medication, adjust everything. There are also aides to come out to my house if/when needed. They will give a report to my oncologist every week and if anything needs to be change, they will do so. Everything is covered under insurance including all the medical equipments. Hours after I signed the paperwork, lots of helpful new toys showed up to make my life easier including a wheel chair, a walker, a shower bench, and a portable oxygen tank that gives me about 5 hours of oxygen. I am no longer imprisoned in my own house due to oxygen needs. Someone could take me out for a walk! Any volunteers?? ๐ ๐
I am so happy and impressed with their service so far. My nurse came for a visit this morning. Guess what, her name is Diana. That’s my sister’s name. What a coincident! I pretend it’s my sister that’s take care of my on this last leg of journey.
Thank you for all your comments, prayers, emails, pictures to cheer me up. I miss you so!
